The Ocean Memory Project is a vibrant and expanding network of over 100 researchers, creators, and thinkers bridging science, the humanities, and the arts. Together, we bring the ocean’s memories into our collective awareness and foster an intellectual space where new questions, methods, and collaborations emerge.
The Ocean Memory community brings together an extraordinary range of expertise and creativity. Our members span fields of study including anthropology, architecture, art, astrobiology, biogeochemistry, biomedical engineering, cognitive neuroscience, dance, earth system science, ecology, fiber arts, film, genetics, geology, history, marine biology, microbiology, musical composition, oceanography, painting, performance, philosophy, sculpture, sound, theater, video, and writing.
This fusion of disciplines and practices, rooted in the sciences, humanities, and arts, fuels a dynamic exchange of ideas and fosters innovative collaborations that expand how we understand ocean memory and its role in addressing the challenges of our time.
