I'm in interested in whether the ocean's memories impact human memories and vice versa.
I had the wonderful experience of collaborating with Ocean Memory to create a Smell Walk. Does the ocean have a scent memory? If so, what does it smell like? Does it smell the same to you as to me or the next person? Does the scent morph, like the ocean’s movements, depending on the environment, changes in weather, or energy between objects? This walking exercise invites you to explore with your sense of smell, orienting to your surroundings with your nose, instead of your eyes and ears. “Smell is our primary sense–we need it to discern safety and danger; it triggers memories and emotions. As we evolve, we tap into our sixth sense: the ability to know and feel our way through life. When we ‘follow our nose,’ it means we follow our intuition and our heart’s desires (rather than our logical mind).”
